Community Engagement Coordinator

Select is pleased to be supporting our client in their search for a dedicated team member to assist with program coordination, community outreach, for a temporary project.

• The rate of pay will be $21-22
• 20 hours per week, scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Occasional evenings or weekends may be required
• Part-time temporary role lasting approximately 6 months, with possibility of extension

• Support the revitalization of a livestock donation program by reconnecting with producers, abattoirs, veterinarians, and industry associations
• Develop and implement a communications plan to promote the program and educate stakeholders
• Liaise with all partners to increase engagement and ongoing program participation
• Create communications materials and messaging to integrate into ongoing operations
• Assist with special events and fund-raising campaigns
• Act as part of the team and support additional tasks as required by leadership

• Strong community engagement, consultation, and public speaking skills
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, online) and strong interpersonal abilities
• Intermediate administrative skills, including Word, Excel, Internet, Email, Canva
• Strong organizational skills
• Basic bookkeeping, record keeping, and data entry skills
• Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and collaborate with diverse groups

• Familiarity with agriculture, livestock, or the nonprofit/charity sector
• Experience with marketing, promotion, or outreach
