Accounting Technician

Our client is seeking a Temporary Accounting Technician to help maintain accurate financial records and ensure their accounting processes run efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, precision, and a steady workflow.

• The rate of pay will be $25-30/hr. based on experience
• Monday – Friday, 30 – 40 hours/week
• In-office position
• This is a temporary role, with a duration dependent on client needs — it may extend up to one year, subject to change.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Process and match invoices with supporting documentation
• Prepare and process outgoing payments
• Organize, label, and store financial documents
• Assist with monthly financial reporting
• Prepare and file GST returns
• Support month-end and year-end audit procedures
• Post journal entries and ensure proper coding of transactions

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting
• Experience using QuickBooks or Sage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet multiple deadlines

• Experience working in a firm
