Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with our family-owned client as they search for a Freight Sales Representative to join their dispatch team in Taber, AB. Successful candidates will be motivated sales professionals with experience in the trucking/transportation industry.

• Salary $60,000 - $64,000 annually
• Occasional weekend availability as needed
• In-office role located in Taber, AB

• Arranging freight and overseeing the efficient scheduling of merchandise and other assignments
• Initiating sales calls to prospective clients, customers, and vendors
• Managing accounts, clients, and customer inquiries/needs on a daily basis ensuring the highest quality of service is provided
• Generating and identifying leads and performing follow-up to create a steady pipeline of business
• Engaging current clientele throughout the year and building relationships based on reliability
• Developing, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
• Creating effective sales strategies to aid in achieving targets

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within the trucking or transportation industry
• Proven experience in sales; lead generation, strategy development, and driving results
• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate well with customers and clients via both verbal and written strategies
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
• Ability to maintain deadlines and solve problems under pressure
• Receptive to changing environments and circumstances
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

• Knowledge of AXON software is an asset.
