Construction Labourer

Are you a dedicated and skilled individual with a passion for hands-on work? We are seeking motivated general labourers to join our client’s team and play a pivotal roll in the successful execution of their diverse construction projects. To be successful in this role, you will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a class 5 driver’s license.

• The rate of pay will be $20-$23/hour
• Hours will vary, generally Monday – Friday, day shifts with occasional weekends

• Site preparation
  • Clearing and preparing construction sites by removing debris, clearing pathways, and other potential hazards
  • Manually excavate, backfill, and compact to grade – using shovels and other manual tools
  • Assist in putting together and taking apart scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, barricades, etc
• Material Handling
  • Sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials
  • Moving and transporting construction materials, tools, and equipment around the site to support different phases of the projects
  • Loading and unloading materials from trucks, ensuring their proper placement and storage at the site
• Assisting other tradespersons as needed

• High School Diploma
• Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
• Ability to work in a variety of different weather conditions
• Proficient in handling tools with precision
• Ability to work as a team
• Commitment to safety awareness and compliance, prioritizing a secure work environment for all
• Must have steel toed boots and work gloves - bonus if you have a hard hat and reflective gear

• CSTS20 certification

• Post secondary school in a relevant trade
