    Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Accounting Technician to support their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and contributing to the preparation of financial statements and reports.

    Compensation & Hours:
    • The rate of pay will be $25 - $30, depending on experience
    • 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday
    • This is a fulltime and permanent position
     
    Position Summary:
    • Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
    • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
    • Prepare and file GST, payroll remittances, and other regulatory filings
    • Generate financial reports and support the preparation of financial statements
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards
    • Respond to internal and external financial inquiries in a timely and professional manner
     
    Required Qualifications:
    • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent)
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Experience with payroll or public practice accounting is considered an asset
