Welder Helper

Select is looking for a Welder Helper to join our manufacturing client’s team on a permanent basis as they expand their operation. This person will be responsible for the fabrication of jigs and fixtures as well as other general labour tasks. Minimal experience needed.

• The rate of pay will start at $19/hr.
• This is a full-time and permanent position

• Operating equipment to fuse or shape metal segments
• Preparing workpieces for welding (cleaning, positioning, & securing)
• Completing basic maintenance on equipment and tools
• Inspecting finished welds for quality and accuracy
• Maintaining detailed reports and documentation
• Performing repairs, modifications, and retrofits
• Loading and unloading materials / parts
   

• PPE: Steel toe boots
• Basic understanding of welding processes and techniques
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective gear
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy
• Can safely lift 50 pounds
• Own vehicle to consistently get to work (job site is just outside of Lethbridge)

• Previous facility construction & maintenance experience
• Registered as an apprentice welder in Alberta and/or enrolled in a recognized trade school
• Can interpret blueprints / drawings
