Human Resources Coordinator
Posted: 07/08/2026Kainai Forage is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing organization. This role is responsible for leading key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, performance support, and workplace culture initiatives. Working closely with the General Manager, Farm Manager, Production Manager, and Logistics Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will play an important role in developing effective HR strategies, strengthening employee relationships, and ensuring our people have the tools and support needed to succeed.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, approachable, and organized professional who enjoys building relationships, improving processes, and making a meaningful impact within a dynamic agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Partner with department managers to support workforce planning, retention, employee development, and succession planning.
- Develop and maintain training programs, job descriptions, and HR processes.
- Support employee relations, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and confidential employee records.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership on HR initiatives that improve employee engagement and business performance.
- Promote a positive workplace culture built on teamwork, communication, accountability, and respect.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in human resources administration or a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with employees and leadership.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- HR, Business Administration, or related post-secondary education is considered an asset.
Work Environment
- Full-time, in-person position (40 hours per week).
- Onsite role located at Kainai Forage’s rural facility; reliable transportation is required.
