Health Care Aide

Seamless Cares Ltd is hiring multiple Health Care Aides here in Lethbridge. The ideal candidates are those looking to utilize their healthcare skills and experience in more of a one-on-one patient care setting to be able to build relationships and be a part of a team that focuses on specialized care in an environment where you feel valued and appreciated. Who we are looking for: You are self-motivated and have a desire to put care back into caregiving. You are compassionate and have a desire to help people. The desire and ability to adapt easily to changing needs of clients comes easily to you.

Our team members provide both medical and non-medical care to their clients including but not limited to:

• Assisting with personal hygiene (bathing, hygiene, self care etc.)
• Daily companionship (play games, conversations, music, puzzles, etc.)
• Maintaining detailed charting to document care given and pertinent observations
• Performing simple dressing changes
• Preparing/serving meals
• Medical appointment assistance and accompanied errands
• Assisting with range of motion exercises as needed
• Household tidying & light house cleaning
• Medication reminders (in person and by phone)
• Assisting with bed transfers, lifting, turning and walking
• Walks/outdoor activities/facility workouts (Gyms, swimming, etc.)
• Daily phone call check-ins as needed
• Helping with technology or connecting via technology with family or friends
• Assisting with personal admin (including financials, medical, taxes, pay bills, funding, etc.)
• Additional services upon request based on client needs

Qualifications:

• Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent
• Active Registration with the CLHA is required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion for patients and families
• Respect for patient discretion and privacy
• Experience and a passion for making a difference in someone’s life
• Ability to take initiative while respecting boundaries
• Impeccable written and oral communication skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, and reliable transportation
• Clean Drivers Abstract
• Criminal Background/Vulnerable Sector Background Check required
