Chamber Rapid testing Program

The Chamber will provide businesses with the application form which includes the rapid testing guidelines and terms and conditions. As long as the business does not require any amendments to the guidelines, the Lethbridge Chamber can approve the application form and provide the business with the tests. This application form also includes the terms and conditions so the Chamber does not need to enter into agreements with each individual business. If modifications are required, the business should contact the Government of Alberta directly at rapidtesting@gov.ab.ca.
  
Businesses can apply to participate in the program directly through the Lethbridge Chamber by filling out the application form and submitting it to office@lethbridgechamber.com.
  
In addition, businesses will need to report back to Lethbridge Chamber weekly regarding the number of tests performed and how many had a positive result and how many were confirmed by PCR testing. A part of the agreement, this information will be shared with Alberta Health.
 
Rapid antigen screening kits are not designed for definitive case testing. Operators and employees who receive a positive result from their rapid test will not be able to return to work and must isolate. Anyone who receives a positive result is encouraged to schedule a follow-up PCR test with the Alberta Health Service’s online self-assessment tool.

Just a reminder, that tests provided by Alberta Health as part of this program cannot be used to support a Restrictions Exemption Program. 

Participants in the rapid screening program cannot supply any documentation to employees regarding test results that will be used for admission/entry to a site/venue or an event that participates in the Restrictions Exemption Program. 

For more clarity, Unvaccinated individuals who wish to enter an organization participating in a Restriction Exemption Program must pay to obtain a negative COVID test through a private vendor or the individual organization may choose to set up their own rapid testing program, at their cost.
