Service Technician
Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with MacKay Equipment in their search for a Senior Service Technician. Mackay Equipment Sales Ltd. is a family owned and operated business, specializing in agricultural products and machinery for pork, poultry, and dairy farms. The successful candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and experienced in instrumentation. Compensation & Hours:- The salary will be dependent on experience
- This is a fulltime, permanent position, Monday-Friday – with the exception of 1 weekend / month
- Must be available to travel within Alberta and Saskatchewan
- This position will be required to occasionally work overtime and perform on-call duties
Position Summary:- Systematically diagnosing faults and troubleshooting problems for all customers of Mackay Equipment
- Providing recommendations for improvements to equipment and processes
- Maintaining records and all other documentation related to repairs and maintenance
- Assemble and perform pre-delivery inspections of new equipment including climate and product controllers, IP networks, ethernet, and radios
- Building relationships with clients through timely, sound, and expert recommendations
- Installing and troubleshooting both analogue and input controls
- Assembling data special reports as required by Head Office
- Complete repairs and maintenance of equipment as necessary
- Adhering to all safety protocols
Required Qualifications:- Instrumentation diploma or Journeyman Electrician certification
- 4-6 years experience
- Familiarity with the agriculture industry
- Strong understanding of technology, operating systems, and other softwares
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation to be self-directed and work independently
- Valid drivers license and 5 year clean drivers abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely
Bonus Points :- Experience and solid understanding of Relay Logic
