    Our food production client is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team. They will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in their facility, with a focus on preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

    Compensation & Hours:
    • The wage is expected to be $41/hr. to start (plus shift premiums)
    • Rotating 12 hour shifts; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 12 p.m. – 12 a.m., and 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
    • 2 days on and 2 days off, 5 days on and 5 days off
    • This is a fulltime and permanent position
     
    Position Summary:
    • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and applying preventative maintenance systems on a variety of machines and equipment, including HVAC and other building maintenance  
    • Attending to emergency electrical and mechanical repairs
    • Assisting with production line start-ups and packaging line repairs
    • Monitoring equipment for effective and safe functionality & usage
    • Being a leader in safety by following company procedures, OH&S policies, and good manufacturing practices
    • Suggesting improvements to processes and equipment
    • Maintaining accurate documentation and records 
     
    Required Qualifications:
    • Red Seal Electrician
    • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
    • Mechanically competent; must be able to read schematics to identify parts, troubleshoot problems, and dissect machines
    • Knowledge of PLC and programming; ladder logic and online troubleshooting
    • Computer literate; will need to use CMMS system
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Physically able to consistently bend, crouch, lift, and walk
     
    Bonus Points For:
    • Exposure to a food environment; familiar with HACCP or SQF
    • Related safety/operation tickets; confined space entry, fall protection, forklift, etc.
